Parent Partnership

From the very first visit, we hold children and parents in equal regard, treating both with the utmost respect. Our settling-in sessions and home visits are designed to be as beneficial for parents as they are for children, helping to build a strong, trusting relationship right from the start. Our aim is to foster a relationship based on trust and open communication, celebrating each child’s successes and working together to provide the very best for your child.

We believe in a strong partnership with parents, and our open-door policy ensures that you are always welcome to discuss your child’s progress and any concerns you may have. We share regular updates on your child’s learning and development through our online platform, My Montessori Child (MMC). This platform also invites you to share your own observations, interests, and your child's developing skills with us, creating a collaborative approach to their education.

PARENT & TEACHER MEETINGS

Regular parent-teacher meetings provide additional opportunities to discuss your child’s progress and goals. Parents have access to all school policies and procedures, ensuring transparency and trust. We also host parent information events, where you can gain insights from our team of dedicated staff and experts. We invite you to participate in social events, celebrations and visits to watch your child in action, such as dance performances, our annual nativity and our very special birthday walks.

OBSERVE

We invite parents to observe the classroom during regular hours to get a real feel for what it’s like to be a child in our setting. These observations help you understand the Montessori and Forest School philosophies in practice and witness firsthand how our values of nature, nurture, and network come to life. By fostering this deep level of involvement and communication, we ensure that parents are true partners in their child's educational journey, working together to create a supportive and enriching experience for every child.

EYFS

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a statutory framework that sets the standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth to five years old. The standards ensure that your child is given the right opportunities to learn and develop well, and are kept healthy and safe. At Denning Montessori School, we integrate the EYFS with our Montessori and Forest School philosophies to provide a comprehensive, child-centred approach to education.
